A New Experience
The Urban Winery, Sydney
Group together for a blend-your-own wine experience, a masterclass or go all-out and buy your own barrel.
Urban Winery Sydney is located just 12km from the Sydney CBD and involves a 2-hour blending class with winemaker Alex Retief. Starting with a winery tour and an overview of the winemaking process, the fun then begins. Using a range of barrel samples, the group will learn about different characteristics of grape varieties, and which tend to pair well together. Split into small teams, the group will do their own blends, with a charcuterie platter on hand to learn a little about wine and food matching as well. Alex is on hand to judge the best blend – it can be as competitive as you like!
